July in Michiana this week is sunny, HOT, and dry. The current temperature is 97. The corn in our fields have tassled and are looking a bit stressed. The unusual part is that the hot breezes are not brewing thunderstorms. I have enjoyed having the weekend off from work and doing some work in the flower beds. The flowers are doing OK but could use a drink that only God can give in the form of gentle all night rains. John and I have enjoyed walking on the beach at Lake Michigan, grilling, and eating outside.
